Dr. Keiichi Akita was born in Sapporo, Hokkaido in 1962, and was grown in the same place. After graduation of University, he studied and worked in Tokyo. His major research field is Clinical Anatomy. From October 1993 to September 1995, Dr. Akita was a research fellow at Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology, University College London, United Kingdom, and studied the experimental biology by using chick embryos. On 2012, Professor Akita established Asian Association of Clinical Anatomy with Asian colleagues. From 2013, he took over the Japanese Research Society of Clinical Anatomists.
