Welcome Message

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, National Defense Medical Center (NDMC), and its integrated teaching hospital, Tri-Service General Hospital (TSGH), we are delighted to welcome you for attending the “2015 International Symposium on Medical Education” which will be held on September 19, 2015 in Taipei, the capital city of Taiwan.

The symposium theme of “Curriculum Innovation in Clinical Education for Medical Students” highlights the importance of curricular innovation and integration as well as using internet  and digital technology in teaching and learning with the iGeneration.

It's a great honor and pleasure to invite Professor Mary Lee, Professor Niv Patil, and Professor Hirotaka Onishi as our Keynote Speakers to share their rich experiences of the Universities of Tufts, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, respectively. We also express our sincere thanks to Dr. Che-Wei Lin, Dr. Ling-Yu Yang, and Dr. Yaw-Wen Chang for their generous contributions to deliver the afternoon Special Lectures. Finally, we do believe that all participants in the panel discussion would like to be keen on making this program as fruitful as possible.

It would be time to leave an old school classroom to explore a new vision for medical education in the face of the iGeneration. We look forward to meeting you at NDMC, Taipei in the coming September.
