Dr. Hirotaka Onishi is Assistant Professor at Department of International Cooperation for Medical Education International Research Center for Medical Education (IRCME), Graduate School of Medicine, University of Tokyo. He received his M.D. from Nara Medical University in 1992 and obtained his Master of Health Professions Education from University of Illinois, Chicago, USA in 2002. He is recently Board Member of Japan Society for Medical Education, Japan Primary Care Association, and Japan Society for Instructional Systems in Health care. Dr. Onishi's clinical practice and interest include primary care, psychosocial approach of care, and patient education. His teaching and research interests are in faculty development, standard setting for assessment, medical interview instruction and assessment using standardized patients.
